St. Clare Strong: Memorial Day Tribute
Hi St. Clare Family, We hope everyone is well and hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend! Thank you all for sending your photos and videos. Please enjoy this week's video! This week we are switching things up a bit! Our theme is Summer since Memorial Day is the unofficial kick off of summer. We ask that you post a photo of your children in their summer gear doing some type of distance learning activity outside! We hope this can be a fun exchange of ideas to see how everyone else is making learning fun and taking advantage of the warmer weather. Scroll down for ideas and inspiration! Here are some ideas: - Use nerf guns or water guns to shoot the answers to math problems, site words, or any other facts - Make a recipe like lemonade for fractions or following directions - Gardening for science, math, following directions, or reading - Diving for answers in the pool - Using sidewalk chalk for a learning activity - Nature hunt for science - Or simply bringing the books or computer outside and working in the sun! Of course if you prefer to just send a photo of your family in their summer themed clothing we love that too! Remember no videos, one photo/slide per family (can be a collage), all photos must be received by 5:00pm Thursday to be included in the slideshow. Have a great week everyone! St. Clare Strong: Team Week
Hi St. Clare family! This week was another great week for showing our SCS pride, unity, and strength from home. We all celebrated our favorite sports teams! Some wore jerseys of their favorite professional teams and many of you also showed pride for the teams that you play on. We loved seeing each and every one of your photos and look forward to the day when all of your teams will be able to play together again. This coming week we will be focusing on the rosary and remembering that our month of May is dedicated to Mary. Many of the grades will notice a special project from Father Brendan (look on your class pages) and there will also be live stream prayer services for our children on Wednesday May 13 at 12pm for the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Happy Mother's day to everyone! Check back net week for updates on upcoming theme weeks continuing the week of May 18th. |

St. Clare Strong: Spirit Week
Hello St. Clare families! Our first week of St. Clare Strong: Spirit Week was an amazing success! We loved seeing all of your photos of the students, families, and even pets showing their SCS pride!!! We aimed to remind the children and our SCS families that we are part of a strong community and even though we aren’t physically together, we are standing beside each other as one big family. In addition to dressing in SCS attire, many of us were also able to connect by participating in online class meetings this week where the children were able to see their friends, teachers, principals, assistant principals, and staff members. We hope to see more of this in the coming weeks! Stay tuned for our upcoming announcement about next weeks theme and remember you can reach the family association by email at scsfa@stclaresi.com |
