After Care is a program designed to help families who need a safe and familiar place to send their children after school. Whether you are a working family, busy with extra household chores or just need to run a few errands, After Care is there to help. No matter the reason that your child requires After Care, you can be assured that he or she is being cared for in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. All students are offered help with homework at After Care. During their stay there is ample time for them to socialize, play games, read and study. At After Care your child will be under the supervision of at least two or more qualified, dedicated staff and/or faculty members. After Care is a safe and reasonably priced alternative to hiring a babysitter with the added bonus of homework help. Children are asked to bring a healthy nut free snack and a small drink. * Hot lunch is not served on half days. Please send children to school with nut free lunch on these days. The Aftercare program at the PreK will supply a safe and educational environment while also providing fun activities that your children will enjoy. During this time the children will engage in many enriching, fun, and educational activities. At After Care your child will be under the supervision of at least two or more qualified, dedicated staff and or faculty members. During their stay in this program your child will be provided with ample time to socialize. There will also be lots of fun activities, arts and crafts, puzzles, games, story time, and dramatic play. Children may also enjoy a healthy nut free snack.
After Care Hours, Fees, and Location for Grades K to 8 & Early Childhood Days: Monday –Friday Hours: Grades K to 8 - Dismissal to 6:00 p.m. (in the main school building on Lindenwood Road) PreK - Dismissal to 4:00 pm (after 4:00 p.m. PreK students are brought to the Lindenwood Road school building for the remainder of their stay)
The program runs in 3 sessions and carries a fee of $12.00 per child per session. K to 8 Pre K Sessions are as follows: Sessions are as follows: Session 1: Dismissal to 4:00 p.m. Session 1: Dismissal to 4:50 p.m. at 5:00 PreK Session 2: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m students are brought to 151 Lindenwood Rd.. Session 3: 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We understand that at times parents may run late for school dismissal pickup. However, in order to ensure safety and supervision for our children, students who are not picked up at dismissal will be placed in After Care and the regular session fee ($12) will be charged.
A deeply discounted fee of over 70% is available for families who intend on using this service on a regular basis. Fees for all programs will be billed through Smart Tuition. Additional charges will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 6:00 p.m.
Discouted fees for regular usage are as follows: *One Time Registration Fee: $25 (cover a minimum amount of supplies, overhead, and extra staff) 4 to 5 days per week: $220 per month for 1 child plus $40 for each additional child. 2 to 3 days per week: $110 per month for 1 child plus $40 for each additional child.
These discounted fees offer flexibility in schedules. Parents can choose the days their children attend and the time they can be picked up between dismissal and 6:00 p.m.. These fees are NOT subject to change on half days. These fees are deeply discounted and will remain the same even if there are multiple days off in a month.
If you choose not to take advantage of one of the above discounted rates you will be billed at the $12 per session per child rate.
* The one time Registration fee applies to all students and will be billed through Smart Tuition After Care for K to 8 begins on the first day of school. After Care for PreK students begins on the first full day of preschool. Pick up from the main school entrance at 151 Lindenwood Road. All students must be signed out by an adult with a valid ID who is listed on the approved pick up list. After 4:50 p.m., PreK students are brought to the Lindenwood Road school building for the remainder of their stay. Registration for PreK through 8th Grade After Care: Registration should be completed online through the link at the end of this notice. New parents and those with questions may register in person at the following date and time: Thursday, September 7, 2015 from dismissal to 1:00 p.m. in the school office or during any of the orientations. Information about a variety of other After School programs will also be provided for your consideration.

Drama Grades 5 to 8 “The Play’s the Thing”
Back again is this amazingly fun program that captures the creativity of every student involved. If you have a flair for the dramatic and enjoy singing and dancing then this is the activity for you! Weekly sessions culminate in a wonderful performance that can be attended by family and friends. In this program students continue to deepen their knowledge of theater terminology and techniques. We will specifically focus on the skills needed to produce a successful musical including stage presence, diction, singing and dancing. Students will also learn vocal and acting warm ups. The program will conclude with a stage production. Sessions will take place on Tuesday from Dismissal to 4:00 pm in the school auditorium. Beginning in March the session time may be extended until 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Hoff will advise students as to when the extended sessions will begin. The cost of this program is as follows: $12 for each session $25 materials fee $12 show t-shirt *We will accept around 25 members into the program. Attendance is extremely important. Please be sure that you can attend all sessions before you sign up. Repeated absence could result in a reduction of lines or scenes that you are a part of. In this production we work as a team and we need every member to attend each rehearsal to ensure a successful show! Dismissal will be through the front doors by Mrs. Penna’s desk. Join us for this fun and exciting way to get fit, stay healthy and have fun. These fun and exciting classes will be facilitated by certified Zumba instructor, Ms. Erica Vitale. Classes will be held in the school cafeteria. This program will run on selected Wednesdays beginning in October. More specific information with dates and times to follow. Times: Dismissal to 4:00 Fee: The cost is $12.00 per child per class (You will be billed only for the classes your child attends.) Dismissal location: 151 Lindenwood Road by Mrs. Penna’s desk. Classes will begin in October and run for 5 sessions. After each 5 week session new sessions will become available based on program attendance.
